Privacy Policy
Last updated: [date]
This policy explains what personal data [business name] ("we") handles for TouchMenu and this website.
Restaurant data stays on your computer
Menus, orders, bills, staff accounts and the activity log are stored on the restaurant's own computer. We don't receive or store them. Guests' phones connect only to the restaurant's computer over its local network.
What we receive
- Purchases: when you buy a subscription, our reseller Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email, billing address and payment details. We receive your name, email, the plan and the order details, but not your full card number.
- Licence checks: the software sends your licence key and an identifier for the computer it runs on to activate and check the licence.
- Support: anything you send us when you ask for help.
- Website: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages visited) for security. We don't use advertising trackers.
Why we use it
To provide and license the software, handle payments and invoices, give support, and meet legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
Lemon Squeezy (payments and licences), our website host [hosting provider], and authorities when the law requires it. We don't sell personal data.
How long we keep it
While your subscription is active and afterwards as long as needed for tax and accounting rules.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, subject to legal limits, by writing to support@touchmenu.app.
